Scanning Services

Nikon LS-8000 CCD Scanner

The Nikon LS-8000 is a CCD scanner that provides results similar to more costly drum scans. We can accommodate mounted transparencies, un-mounted transparencies, and negatives from 16mm through 6x9 cm. For scans from negatives, we recommend a color print as a guide.

All of our LS-8000 scans include:

• Up to 4000dpi true optical resolution.
• 4.2 Dynamic Range.
• Scans up to 42 bits per pixel (14 bits per channel).
• Dust and Scratch Suppression is standard with digital ICE.
• Basic color balance adjustment.

Files are formatted in RGB TIFF format files. Be sure to specify MAC or PC byte ordering. There is no charge for CD-ROM media, but be sure to include disk set-up charges if you prefer DVD-R media.

Standard turn-around time is 48 hours. For rush service (less than 24 hours) add 100%. Please contact us for large batch quote.

Nikon LS-2000 CCD Scanner

The Nikon LS-2000 is a CCD scanner that provides fast results for most scanning needs. We can accommodate mounted 35mm transparencies, un-mounted 35mm transparencies, and 35mm negatives. For scans from negatives, we recommend a color print as a guide. All of our LS-2000 scans include:

• Up to 2700dpi true optical resolution.
• 3.6 Dynamic Range.
• Scans up to 36 bits per pixel (12 bits per channel).
• Dust and Scratch Suppression is standard with Digital ICE.
• Basic color balance adjustment.

Files are formatted in RGB TIFF format files or JPEG files (please specify your preference). Be sure to specify MAC or PC byte ordering. There is no charge for CD-ROM media, but be sure to include disk set-up charges if you prefer DVD-R media. Standard turn-around time is 24 hours. For rush service (less than 24 hours) add 100%. Epson 1640DU Flatbed Scanner

The Epson 1640DU is a flat bed scanner that can accommodate reflective originals up to 8.5x11 inches or transparencies and negatives up to 4x5 inches. For scans from negatives, we recommend a color print as a guide.

All of our 1640DU scans include:

• Up to 1600dpi true optical resolution.
• 3.2 Dynamic Range.
• Scans up to 42 bits per pixel (14 bits per channel)
• Basic color balance adjustment.

Files are formatted in RGB TIFF format files or JPEG files (please specify your preference). Be sure to specify MAC or PC byte ordering. Printing Services

Epson 9600 Inkjet Prints

These high-resolution prints are made using an Epson 9600 printer with Ultrachrome inks. This is a 7 ink system that provides an unsurpassed color gamut. Thanks to the two black ink cartridges, this printer provides the best black and white quality available on ink jet printers today. We offer several varieties of media, but focus primarily on fine art papers, including Epson Somerset Velvet and Crane Fine Art Smooth finishes. This system can provide prints up to 44 inches wide and features print longevity over 80 years. Please contact us for current paper finishes and special media.

We will let you know if we encounter any problems with your image files before we proceed. We strongly recommend a proof print, especially for very large prints.

Normal turn around time is three days. Please add an additional day for mounting on foam core. Rush service (24 hours) is usually available; please add 100% Please call for samples and further information.

Canvas prints require an acrylic overcoat. These prices include your choice of a sprayed-on acrylic in either a matte, satin, or glossy finish. Prints can also be delivered without over coating. Please contact us for more information.

Normal turn around time is three days. Rush service is not available.

Epson 2000P Inkjet Prints

These high-resolution archival quality prints are made using an Epson 2000P printer with Epson Archival inks and media. This is a 6-ink system that provides an excellent color gamut and unsurpassed print longevity. This printer is best suited for color materials and we do not recommend it for black and white prints. We offer several varieties of media including glossy, archival matte, luster, and watercolor. This system can provide prints up to 13x19 inches and features print longevity of over 100 years.

We will let you know if we encounter any problems with your image files before we proceed. We strongly recommend a proof print, especially for very large prints.

Normal turn around time is three days. Please add an additional day for mounting on foam core. Rush service (24 hours) is usually available; please add 100% Please call for samples and further information.
